In line with s.25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 Local Government Electors can inspect the accounts and details of how to do this can be found on the formal Notice.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER - MILL LANE SMEETON

PRESS RELEASE

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location. A closure is required on Mill Lane Smeeton, Between Kibworth Road and Main Street. The closure will commence on the 7th August 2017 and remain in place for a period of 5 days. Parish Council Precept

The Parish Council has today published a Precept Briefing document which aims to provide parishioners with as much information as possible on the recent increases in the household parish council component of your recent council tax bill. The increase on the average Band D property equates to an increase from £20.17 in 2016/17 to £50.78 in 2017/18. Vehicle Activated Sign

Vehicle Activated Sign

Councillors and volunteers of Smeeton Westerby are now analysing the data provided by the new Vehicle Activated Sign that has been used in the village through October and November. The sign is a traffic calming initiative purchased in conjunction with Fleckney Parish Council in an effort to encourage drivers to reduce their speed when driving through the village. Council welcomes new Councillors

At the August meeting of the Parish Council, two new Councillors were co-opted, Cllr David Brierley and Cllr. Richard Clarke. This beings the total number of Parish Councillors to 5.
