The attractive and historic village of Smeeton Westerby was originally two separate settlements within the ancient parish of Kibworth. The village became a separate parish in the 19th century and is situated half a mile south of Kibworth Beauchamp.

Parish Council Contacts
All enquiries to the Parish Council should be via the Clerk unless you have a specific need to contact an individual Councillor.
The Clerk works part -time. If no answer, please leave a message and you will be called back as soon as possible.

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A road closure is required on Weir Road, Saddington from the junction with Bryars Close to the junction with Main Street on the 5th March 2018 for 4 days.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Western Power Distribution to facilitate a new electricity service connection. More »
The proposed alternative diversion route will be via:- Main Street (Saddington), Smeeton Road (Saddington), Saddington Road (Smeeton Westerby), Main Street, Smeeton Road (Kibworth Beauchamp), High Street, Fleckney Road, Kibworth Road (Saddington) and vice versa.

The formal of audit of Smeeton Westerby Parish Council's accounts for 2016-17 is now complete. The Annual Return and Notice of Conclusion of Audit can be viewed below.
In line with s.25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 Local Government Electors can inspect the accounts and details of how to do this can be found on the formal Notice.
